| Bio: | the various misadventures of rachel kinzer (and other mysterious tales) ::excerpt:: rachel was born to parents after a passionate coupling of some form or fashion, as many are often known to be; this means that she was born to two well meaning young people who thought they were in love; one working in public services and the other working on cirrhosis of the liver- in public. this would eventually result in the arrival of a pesky younger brother and years of stigma after an unfortunate slide accident. then there were the elementary years, which largely consisted of a series of perils encountered by herself and her best friend, ashley (this was typically determined how they died playing organ trail and whether or not the two would end up on the same kickball team). middle school was no better, and ashley and rachel set about joining the band and the rest of the school's most mocked and worst dressed. granted, her early years resulted in countless lessons learned, including how to write bad poetry, bowl under 50 on a consistent basis, and hang out at the mall every friday night. high school was sugarfree icing on an already bitter cake, though her life and ashley's were brought into a sacred unity upon meeting the infamous emily compton, thus completing the three woman "soul" and setting the world up for nuclear meltdown. there are countless others whose very input into rachel's life earns them a spot in this narrative, though rachel wished that they remain anonymous after threats from wary ex-tv stars chuck norris and steven seagal began mysteriously appearing around the city in which rachel lived. mysterious letters were arriving daily and a neighborhood opossum disappeared (though it was found three days later next to a bottle of jose cuervo and a disgruntled looking chihuahua). these days, rachel keeps on unabated, pursuing an English degree and the likely oncoming poverty associated with a career in writing, all the while making sure to drink heavily in her spare time and get as much lovin' as she possibly can. she enjoys dogs, beer, cigarettes, adult swim, classic literature, the magician, sleep, travel, and some of the most insane people you have ever encountered. she unashamedly attributes all her eccentricities to the year she was forced to read james joyce's 'portrait of the artist as a young man' and her bouts of anxiety to the uranium smuggling she did during the cold war. or maybe it was the drugs. | ||
